They are very cute little creatures. Do they make any noises or are they the silent type? Are these the culprits that have been eating the dandelions on my lawn before they go to seed?
They make tiny little noises, if you can imagine a micro-zebra's voice you got the picture. Or the song. About your dandelions it was me!!! and I made a kind of jam we call Cramaillotte here. Scrumptious, your dandelions are first quality.
Here is the recipe: https://www.leparfait.com/recipe/cramaillotte-or-dandelion-honey_736#page/1
Micro Zebra songs sound great in my imagination. Hahaha. As for the dandelion jam, that's the first time I have ever heard of it and you are actually serious! Well, you taught me something new. I don't think I will make it myself though, but the recipe does look interesting. Does it taste like honey or like marmalade with all that citrus in the recipe? I am not much of a jam connoisseur, except for raspberry jam.
Cramaillote is actually something unique. It doesn't taste like honey, it just looks a bit like it. There is not so much citrus in it when you look at the proportions. It is more bitter than sour, but the sugar compensates it... sweetly. It takes a long time to prepare: first a long walk in the sun to pick up all the flowers, and then plucking all their little petals, trying to keep only the yellow parts. An ideal occupation in times of lockdown 😊
