I think I have fallen in love with Luigi! You did a great job with shutter speed catching movement and freezing it well. The saturation and contrast is realistic and I also find the composition nicely done. I bet you struggled with the frame in the upper part to crop out or leave in...I like it left in as it provides a solid feel to the image. Thumbs up! Isn't there a song about Luigi mi amore?!

Your dude is loved and looks like he rules the house. I feel a closer crop would have strengthened your image....more cat, less table . When you have a subject on the margin line of a photograph the mind and eyes tend to go there...so my eyes go to the bowl has a closer look and finishes off the roundness of it and soon leaves the photo. You want to try to do everything you can to keep the viewer's eyes on the main subject. Technically this is well done with good focus on subject matter, tonal quality is realistic. A lovely image giving us the story of a very loved pet. Thank you.

This is Pixel doing "cat yoga" and this pose is called "Halasana or plough pose". I agree with ICANHAS and would suggest once again you consider cropping tighter. If you are going to show us the cat...show us the cat. Cropping is an artistic tool and one can change an image dramatically. This photo brought a smile out of me and for that I thank you. Technically is is nicely done with good focus on main subject and contrast is appropriate.

What a great point of view POV. Shooting up generally shows strength in the subject a nobility and you have achieved this with the shot. If you are working in Photoshop to post process images I would suggest you clone out all those tree branches in the background for it looks like he is eating them . The other way to circumvent the background is to always be aware that when you take a photo of a subject you are also taking a photo of the background and keeping that in mind you can move around and adjust the image. There is nice sharpness in the lower right aspect of the photo where the chain is...there is lack of sharpness on his eye . I like the way he is coming into the frame and I am not bothered by amputation of ear.

Patches has posed in her regal stance for you. A nice portrait of a loved pet sitting in the sunshine. See that white frame sitting on the left side of the margin of the photo? I feel you could have cropped in a tad tighter on both sides . The movement of the eye is caught by white and a bit of a tighter crop would do this portrait image justice. With all that white on the cat it would have been so easy to blow it out but you have good saturation, focus and tonal qualities in situ. The other way with which you could take the attention off the white furniture in the background is by vignetting it somewhat or using gradient. I like this photo for it catches that independent spirit of cats, they have their own mind. ....meow.... Thumbs up.

I like your composition with the main focal points framed by the textured trees. You did a good job with selective colour and there is no bleeding that I can see. Nice staged photo good for the family album.

Lovely and mysterious , almost other worldly! Some might tell you that the sky is over saturated but I feel it compliments the silhouette. Nice entry.

Ahhhh...thank you for noticing. Yes, I did over saturate it,and your right it is to accentuate the shape/design of the tower. But I did not do it for this contest. It's part of a collection of this same object but with different color saturation's. They are all part of a piece I'm working on that uses different color pieces/images to make one whole image.
It's a work still in progress, but on hold for the moment.

Yes..that is where I am stalled. Andy Warhol and how many pieces or in another style...my way. I've done a piece as a Warhol image called 10 Sheri's. It's a lot of work and I'm not mentally there to work on anything complex. Thanks again for your interest and input,it makes a difference.

Wayne, I love love love the minimalistic feel to this presentation. Like the way the bars lead the eye to the focal point of the shoes. Well seen and well done, nice tight crop. You do have dust spots on your sensor and they show up on the white aspect of the image!

That blue window really pulls on our eye and because we have to travel up to anchor on the pane it makes the church look even larger! I feel you could have brought out some detail in the black doorway by using shadow highlight lever...what do you think?

A cool dude indeed and a spontaneous catch on your part. There is a blow out on the foot area which could have been pulled down in camera raw by pulling down the highlight lever somewhat. Love the natural feel to this post.
