Hahaha.. Learning curbs can be very frustrating at times. Persevere... You will get the hang of it.

It's because you have used the curly brackets... {} ... instead of the straight ones...[]... Change the brackets to the straight ones and it will work fine.

You just need to find a child modelling agency in your area and ask them.

Don't ever try enlarging a jpeg a lot because it always comes out pixelated. If you do want to enlarge anything slightly, always change it into a smart object first before you enlarge it and that works a lot better but I have found you still lose a certain amount of clarity because enlarging jpegs makes it necessary to add pixel information which is not there in there first place. When starting a new work for a composite, I always start with something more than 1500 pixels in width or height. Use high resolution images when using stock so you don't need to enlarge anything. It's always better to reduce the size of things but even when reducing things, make sure you change it to a smart object first.

Just a heads up... your pngtree link is incorrect. No critique necessary. You did a good job of the composite. Everything looks technically correct to me. It tells an obvious story about the current pandemic.

I really like the simplicity of this piece. The contrasting blue and orange hues give it a certain impact which draws the eyes to the center of the work and causes viewers to concentrate on the cat and hands. You did a great job of the transparent globe with the distorted reflections of the clouds. The cat in the bubble looks terrified to be under some spell which put it in there in the first place. The hands reaching up to catch and rescue it makes a great story. The only tiny critique I have is about the cutting out of the hands. I still see a bit of a white halo on the back of the right hand which would most likely not be noticeable if there was a white cloud behind it but there is blue sky behind it which causes it to stand out more. Other than that, it is an excellent job. You should be very proud of it.

You were a doll. I love the curly hair and I love the dress. The way mothers made clothes for their children back in the old days was very special. They dressed the kids up beautifully with exclusive unique garments. It is very rare to find mothers sewing clothes for kids these days because it seems cheaper to buy them from the large chain stores.

The photo has withstood the test of time very well considering its age. It would be great to restore it.

A beautiful shot. He looks like a very caring kind person. Your sister was an adorable child. I love the old camera.

I love your colorization of the photo, especially what you did to the clouds and ocean. The detail in the shirt colors must have taken you hours. Are they relatives of yours or friends of family?

Photography is indeed one of the best inventions of mankind. Talking about immortality, I think the only way we become immortal is through pictures and the memories and legacies we leave behind. We are only "immortal" as long as we are remembered. As for the "fruit" of the "tree", I find it amusing when people argue about what kind of fruit was on a metaphorical imaginary tree. Doesn't the myth simply convey that wisdom is gained by partaking from knowlege?

You win the bet. I have seen many things on my computer screen that I would never have imagined in my wildest dreams. Just when I think I must have seen it all, something else turns up that I have never seen.
