One of my favourite foods is Borscht, an Eastern European vegetable soup made with beets. Ukraine has been cited as the originator of this soup. Whenever I eat it, my mind takes me to my mother's kitchen and memories of my childhood are resurrected. It was a time when I felt safe and loved. I can eat this vegetable soup/stew every day and with a hearty slice of bread, it always feels so nourishing.

P I Z Z A ....aaaahhhh created by Olga.L
Children love it, adults adore it, the Japanese eat it, Italians created it, Saudis munch on it, the Inuit are passionate about it even the Yoruba Tribe lusts after it. Greasy, cheesy, warm, comforting, crunchy, healthy, stretchy, pineapple-y, pepperoni, ham, everything but the kitchen sink. Food that loves you and you cannot help but love it back. Nothing sets the mood like some strawberries dipped in chocolate.
Potjevleesch created by Zizounai
One of my very favorite meals! Let me introduce to you the Potjevleesch (bless you 😉). This dish, originated from Flanders, consists of cuts of white meat like pork, rabbit, chicken and veal that are marinated in white wine or beer, then cooked together with onions, carrots, bay leaves, and cooled in successive layers in a terrine with a vinegar gelatin. Of course, the recipes and variations are multiple according to every family's tradition. The Potjevleesch is usually prepared the night before for the next day. It is served cold, traditionally with potatoes, fries and/or salad, and quite often, you end up asking for more!
Bread is my staple food, the staff of life as someone once said. There is splendid wonderfulness when eating bread, whether it is sourdough, 5 grains, hot cross buns with plenty of butter or just watching it "grow" (rise) before being placed into the oven. "With a piece of bread in your hand, you will find paradise under a pine tree." A Russian Proverb
Max's sweet created by Zizounai
In my favorite restaurant, every one and all Maxime's sweets are my n°1 food ex-aequo. They are not only a delight for the palate, but also for the eyes. They are usually small, because after a good meal you just want a little something more. They are always beautiful and creative.
Fulfilling Food created by Olga.L
Simple and satisfying. Hand-pulled noodles supplemented with nutrient-dense eggs and a hamburger, salad on the side. This hearty wholesome meal provides enough energy to keep me going all day. A gorgeous and generous serving that does not leave one wanting. Noodles are one of my favourite foods.

Although Chicken salad sounds boring when it has honey/mustard dressing on it then you can,t beat it.
Crustaceans! created by kyricom
My nephew lives on the coast of Maine and we went out in his boat and got fresh lobster and crab from his traps. I've never had it fresher and it was DELICIOUS!
Chocolate !!!!!!!!!!! created by Wayne-Cheah
I've yet to come across a fellow human being who doesn't like chocolate.
Duck foie gras created by Zizounai
This controversial delicacy is my 8th deadly sin. Its silky texture, its heavenly flavors, its delicate aromas are often accompanied by crusty country bread and of course... a glass of Sauternes (not on the photo).
Porterhouse created by kyricom
There's nothing like a good Porterhouse right off the grill!
A typical british thing is a cream tea,you get sandwiches with the crust taken of +cakes+a scone with cream/jam +coffee or tea,all served on a silver platter stacked up[not the tea though] a lot of restaurants/pubs serve it now in the uk,have had several now and love them.
Banh Bao created by Olga.L
This is banh bao or in China is called Baozi. One of my "gotta get me one" foods as we walk the streets of Vietnam. It is an exotic thrill to munch on. The bread is yeast-leavened and is sweet and light and steamed. Inside is a treasure trove of savoury foods including a quail's egg with minced pork delightfully "prickly" with just the right amount of seasoning to make you yearn for another.
