Oh, how I envy this man being able to sit like this for hours, and his psoas major not complaining in the least. Our 300 pound (or 20 stone) hunks in the west can only turn green with envy. Again, you have taken out the colour and masterfully rendered a rich black and white. What makes this a striking image is the plethora of textures, shapes for colour matters naught but shapes are more pronounced when in b/w. The communication between subject and us is again present with his stare....a look of curiosity.

Yes - Indians seem at times to be made of rubber and can get themselves into any shape they want. He was another super friendly person who was very happy to be photographed. No English and all I can say in Tamil is “coffee with no milk or sugar” which doesn’t take you very far!!
