Congratulations. This is a really fascinating photo. Are they small statues with smoke behind them? I am curious as to how you achieved this effect?
Thank you. They are small toys, about 4 inches (10 cm) tall. I put them on some rocks in our back yard at night, and set a light behind them and off to the side a bit. Then, I sprayed some "smoke" (I have aerosol cans of it) between the light and the toys and took the shot.
Photographed on a monotone Kodak film, it was a short lived film the CN400, which could be processed in color chemicals C41. The camera was a Asahi Pentax Spotmatic, with a 50mm Supertakumar lens.
