There are over 2000 types of fruits around the world with every one of them beautifully created in different dazzling colours. To appreciate the beauty of any object, taking a close view will reveal both its beauty and its imperfections.

This contest is about taking your best close-up shots of any type of fruit revealing its beauty in detail. Find different types of fruit and unleash your photography skills by taking creative close-up shots. Post your best shots to join the contest.

To get some inspiration, have a look at this fruit close-up contest on Pxleyes from 3 years ago:

I wonder why they refer to them as RASPberries. Is it because they resemble the rough edges of a rasp tool? Canon 80D

Olga.L replied to Wayne-Cheah :

Yes, but a whole can of whipped cream!! ! ! We deserve it after all it is lockdown time. Nice close up, with good sharpness on detail. This is the only fruit that has seeds on the outside (for your trivia knowledge). Thank you....I can get strawberries here in Vietnam at this time....it's off to the market. THANK YOU.

Maybe you can submit an entry of a deeper close-up of 1 strawberry?

They have an interesting texture

Wayne-Cheah replied to IEatRawEggs :

I believe this contest specifically calls for "...close-up shots of any type of fruit...."

Your suggestion, (which I thank you for), would amount to submitting a "macro" shot. The difference between a close-up and a macro shot is as follows:-

"Close-up means you're just shooting at a short distance from the subject. You can use virtually any lens to achieve close-up photos. Macro means you're taking super close-ups of objects at 1:1. Meaning, the size of the image on your sensor is equal to the size of the item you're photographing in real life"

I hope I am right about this.

Thanks for dropping in.
