I believe this contest specifically calls for "...close-up shots of any type of fruit...."
Your suggestion, (which I thank you for), would amount to submitting a "macro" shot. The difference between a close-up and a macro shot is as follows:-
"Close-up means you're just shooting at a short distance from the subject. You can use virtually any lens to achieve close-up photos. Macro means you're taking super close-ups of objects at 1:1. Meaning, the size of the image on your sensor is equal to the size of the item you're photographing in real life"
I hope I am right about this.
Thanks for dropping in.
Not sure. Just waited for any one to walk by as I wanted a human figure there for the desired effect. Thanks for dropping by.
Nice complementary color scheme between fruit and wooden background. I've never eaten this fruit before.
Longans or "Dragon Eyes" just coming into season.
Thanks. Couldn't have said it better myself. Your comment deserves an award.
What are those, "pussy willows"? Spring comes early? Nice capture. Telephoto lens?
Lovely shot.
Though the tree stump in the foreground grabs your initial attention, the road leads your eyes towards the fog covered windmill which has just enough definition to cut through the fog which is the subject of the contest. Well done!
This image was made to symbolize the inevitable growth, decay and death of Nature. The long dead wood "embraces", "comforting" the dying leaf which was in an almost " fetal" position as if wanting to be born and grow again. Sad, but the leaf would become humus eventually and later on to nurture and be part of the new growth of another tree to come.
