Women line up to vote for the first time in New York after the passage of the 19th Amendment, New York, New York, 1920

13th amendment was to liberate African American people, 14th to give them citizenship, 15th to allow them to vote (men only of course). Women had to wait for four more amendments before they were allowed to vote in general.
