I was trying to get across the idea of you giving us an image (same for everyone), and we apply the theme of ice to it, ...but it's too late now since there are 2 entries so far.

Is there something wrong with combining both in one contest?

I'm just suggesting that we all work on the same (supplied to us) image and learn from one another.

You should supply the photo so we can all see how everyone handles the same subject.

Looks like the oil paint filter that comes with photoshop.

If you look at the original pix of Vin and car, you can see where the light is coming from and where the shadows are, or should be.

VP seems OK to me

Vin and car need shadows, they look like they are floating.

Sometimes one is better off keeping their mouth shut. But their ears open. lol

But some people are taking this poster contest very seriously, with actual stories and credits etc. etc.
