Why? Almost no photos are completely unmanipulated. The winner of the last "chop" contest had very few sources that were "untouched" photos. Everybody adds dragons, fairies, gnomes, etc. to their work. As long as you credit your sources, who cares?

I think it looks just fine. Exactly like an old print except that the monster is a little too smooth.

Apparently my computer is officially obsolete. Since September there are a lot of places it won't go. But yours is the only contest entry I can't see, though I did see it at the beginning. I remember thinking it was so beautiful I would buy it if it was on better wood.

The lower hand looks a little odd. I think more should have been left in front of the wood. Also I think a little more variety in color or design would have led to a much higher score.

I love the polished "buttons." they really set this design off perfectly.

For some reason my eyes wanted to see this above the wood instead of carved into it, but once I forced myself, it is very good.

I can't see anything here so I couldn't vote, but I remember in the first few days this was my favorite. (My computer won't go to imgur so I can't see anything posted there.)
