Very easily this photograph could be a poster for "HOPE". Will it be a happier spring/summer? We can only hope but this cheery yellow bloom inspires that feeling in our hearts. Colours grab our emotions and yellow which is strong is attention-grabbing in warmth and is full of energy. Yellow is also very easy to overexpose and you have not done this for we can see detail on the bloom. Using a shallow depth of field the background is lost and due to your POV you have come down low to focus on that what you want to show us....hope. A lovely image that is well composed, tightly cropped and a joy to view, thank you..

What is there NOT to love about Oscar.? ? ? The photograph taken from the POV from above gives him a humble feel which adds to the knowledge that we all know our friendship with Oscar is fleeting. Technically a well-done image with good saturation/sharpness on the snowman, good colours and very artistically the monotone background was a nice touch..... compound that with a shallow depth of field and Oscar embraces us with a feeling of fun during dismal times! Thank you for this post.

Here is an idea. Can we have two photoshop contests a week both running for ten days. That way, people who finish one early don't need to wait till another starts. The second one could start five days after the first one. That way, a contest begins every five days but each one still runs for ten days. I think we could have two photography contests each week too. There seems to be plenty of people entering.

Overall I like the selection and layout of your sources. I might of chose to keep the fabrics on the ground from your boy source. Removing it messed with the boys back foot. I really like that you removed the extra shadow from the chair which allows a more cohesive shadow with the boy. Good job!
