The passion flower is one of my favorite flowers, because of its subtle leaves. The beautiful colors come into their own here.

It has to be a light, floating snowfall. Then, I put a black card on a stool, so I can move the card around to be under the camera set up with a macro lens on a tripod pointing down. Have the camera pre-focused on the card, and set on "spot exposure." When a good flake falls nice and flat, you slide the card under the camera and take a shot before it melts. It's fun. :-)

I think a gourd is a very special thing. I looked up what they are used for: in Europe mainly as decoration, in Africa to make pots and water pitchers. Nice photo by the way.
