🏆 Photoshop Contest: Woodcut carving

Woodcutting is an artistic technique in which an artist carves an image into a wooden block. It's a delicate form of art that takes some effort and skill to master.

Luckily, there is Photoshop, which allows us to do digital woodcarving! Even though it's a simple process, it's tricky to make it look photo-realistic.

This contest is your chance to practice this technique and create your own digital woodcut art. Find a picture of wood, and a picture you want to carve in the wood. This picture can be anything you desire. From people to landscapes to abstract patterns. Colours in the carvings are allowed as well.

Turning things into wood or creating an object from wood is not the goal of this contest. Make sure you're carving a shape into a piece of wood. This piece of wood can be 2D or 3D. You can simply use a texture picture of wood, or an actual photo of wood (eg. a wooden table, a tree, a wall, ...)

You can find your own photo of wood, but here are some photos you can use:

• Dark Wooden texture
• Tree bark
• Light wooden texture
