Photo Contest: Fog

PhotographyPosted by Staaan

Fog is simply caused by the suspension of water droplets or ice crystals in the air. Although this phenomenon has affected human activities in various ways such as shipping and travel, it remains one of the most beautiful sights to behold.

This photo contest is designed for you to appreciate this great work of nature by capturing beautiful moments of fog in your preferred landscape. Choose your best vantage point, take your best shots, and post them here with a description to explain where this photo was taken.

To get some inspiration, have a look at this contest on Pxleyes from 11 years ago:

This entry from WYSIWYG got first place out of 67 entries:

Technology has evolved rapidly in those 11 years, so let's see what we can do with fog in our photos these days!

Good luck!

I liked this shot. It not that the fog is the central object, but it helps us to focus on the rest of the picture. The house, street, fence, grass area..all those lines lead me to the fog. I guess you can look at it as just the house ,and that would work, or just the fog and how it shadows in an eeriness and that would work. I think there is a lot going on here and you've done a very good job of displaying it. :)
